ROAM The Vagabond XL Rooftop Tent

We purchased this tent a few months ago and have taken it on several trips with our 4 year old toddlers. I was very impressed with the quality of the tent, especially the floor of the annex. From the fabric to the zippers and stitching, everything is top notch.
We did end up adding a memory foam topper on top of the mattress because I am spoiled and love an extra soft sleeping surface (this wasn’t necessary as the mattress is firm yet still comfy). There is plenty of room for the 4 of us. Love this tent and can’t wait to take it out on our future adventures!

I love my Vagabond XL rtt. It is easy to setup, very comfortable and stayed dry during a 24 hr rain. It was also plenty warm with just a good sleeping bag. Temps were in the high 30's overnight. I also recommend the annex, it is a great add on. It came in real handy to sit in while it rained. It is a big tent so definitely need a larger vehicle. I really can't say enough about it, I definitely am glad I made the purchase.

I am a builder and engineer of Porsche on and off-road racing cars by trade, so the first things that I notice about any product is the design, quality, and workmanship. This tent has all of those dialed. I have it mounted on my 2016 Cayenne, and it fits the rack well for its size. It is easy to put up and easy to put away thanks to a very efficient design. All of the materials chosen for it's build tell me that someone who actually uses these products had a hand in it's design. The shell is fully taped and reinforced with heavy duty stitching throughout. The mattress is of high quality, and very comfortable. The base is sturdy, and of very solid build quality. I especially like the diamond plate-look bottom. I opted for the Annex, and it is also of excellent quality. I have used this tent in both hot and cold weather, one time in the rain. With the weather cover on, there were zero leaks, and it was so well insulated in the cold, that I had to open a window up. In hot weather, the roof opening is a life saver. When it is open, it is vey airy and cool inside, especially if there is a breeze. Overall, very happy with purchase, and I don't care that it did not come with a sticker.

It's been a hot min since I last went camping. Didn't matter how new or old the tent was, there is always a moment when you're feeding the pole through the material and it comes apart. The next moment of pure adulterated anger is spent feeding the pole in and out until it's back together. That being said the setup/break down alone of the tent is worth every penny. At each stop the wife wrangled our toddler while I setup the tent. No poles to fight, stakes to slip off of and hit your thumb, just easy of use and enjoyment of camping. All around great product.

On our ninth camping trip, absolutely amazing quality no problems whatsoever in Moab Utah. Gusting winds, 50 miles an hour for half the day. No problems at all no rips no nothing this is a great tent, and worth every penny.
